Promotional Terms
At ToolShare, we believe in maintaining transparency with our customers regarding any promotions, discounts, or trials that we offer. To ensure clarity and avoid any misunderstandings, the following conditions apply to all promotional offers, discounts, and trial periods: Promotion Terms and Conditions: All promotions, discounts, or trial offers will clearly disclose their terms and conditions, including eligibility requirements, duration, and any restrictions. These details will be prominently displayed on our platform where the offer is made and before the customer agrees to participate. Eligibility: Each promotion or discount will specify the eligible participants. Eligibility may be based on factors such as location, user status (new or existing users), or rental history. Users must meet all eligibility criteria to claim the offer. Usage Limits: Promotions, discounts, or trial offers may be limited to one per customer, per account, or per transaction unless otherwise stated. Any attempts to circumvent this limit may result in the revocation of the offer. Expiration and Duration: All promotions and discounts will clearly state their expiration dates. Offers are valid only for the specified time frame and cannot be applied retroactively or after the expiration date. Discount Codes: If a promotion requires a discount code, customers must enter the code at checkout for the discount to be applied. Failure to enter the code may result in the full price being charged, and ToolShare will not be responsible for applying the discount retroactively. Refund Policy
Cancellations by Renters: Before Pickup/Delivery: If a renter cancels a reservation before the scheduled pickup or delivery time, they may be eligible for a full or partial refund, depending on the cancellation timing and terms set by the tool owner. After Pickup/Delivery: Once the tool has been picked up or delivered, refunds are generally not available, except in cases where the tool is non-functional or significantly different from the listing description. Cancellations by Tool Owners: If a tool owner cancels a confirmed rental before the start of the rental period, the renter will receive a full refund, including any applicable service fees. Non-Functional or Misrepresented Tools: If the tool is defective, unsafe, or misrepresented in the listing, renters should contact ToolShare within 24 hours of pickup/delivery to report the issue. ToolShare will investigate the claim, and if verified, the renter may be eligible for a full refund. Owner Refunds Cancellation Fees for Tool Owners: Tool owners who cancel a confirmed booking may incur a cancellation fee, which may be deducted from future payouts, depending on the circumstances and frequency of cancellations. Damage Claims: In cases where a tool is returned damaged or in a condition worse than when rented, owners should report the issue to ToolShare within 24 hours of the return. ToolShare will assess the situation and may offer compensation based on the damage, rental agreement, and applicable insurance. Refund Request Process To request a refund, renters or owners must contact ToolShare at [support email or contact page link] with details of the issue, including photos or documentation, within 24 hours of the incident. ToolShare will review the request and provide a response within 5-7 business days. Disputes In cases where renters and tool owners are unable to resolve a dispute regarding a refund, ToolShare will step in to mediate. ToolShare’s decision will be final and based on our Terms of Service and this refund policy.
